We designed and developed this web site/application as an essential aspect of the research required for a PhD by senior lecturer Andy Bell at the Manchester Metropolitan University. This involved the development of a survey which students complete as part of the ‘Big Five for Students’ (BFFS). The BFFS is a set of measures regarding students’ approaches to their studies and the site has become an invaluable resource for students in that they can use it to 'audit' their study habits to improve their personal and professional development.
We developed the site and survey system using the Laravel framework. Our software not only carries out the survey and captures their responses, it also provides comprehensive written feedback to students based on comparing their responses with statistical data.
The site is multi-lingual and is so far available in English and French.
