Who's Involved?
I Read Your Writing offers a comprehensive editorial service that mirrors the personalised collaborative process of a traditional publishing house. By empowering writers to achieve their best work, they act as an incubator for underserved talent and a trusted resource for agents and publishers alike. Their aim is to offer a cost effective service to new writers therefore removing the reliance on unethical vanity publishing services which prey on new writers.
They needed a platform that could support both writers and editors.
The service is a blend of editorial feedback and skill development and they wanted to be able to offer a slick platform where clients could easily engage at their own pace and in a way that would fit in with their life style requirements.

What Happened?
We worked with I Read Your Writing from the pre-funding stage right through to the MVP offering them technical, fund raising and strategic guidance. We loved the concept from the start and the goal to help new writers really chimed with our own goals to promote the creative arts.
I Read Your Writing came to us with little technical knowledge but were able to clearly communicate their vision. Climbing Turn identified the most challenging aspect of the project and suggested creating a working prototype of this core functionality first. We used an iterative "build and break" approach, with constant communication throughout.
Climbing Turn provided clear options and trade-offs, allowing I Read Your Writing to make informed decisions about how to allocate their limited budget. They felt the process was transparent and appreciated being given decision-making power.
The Outcome
Collectively, we designed, built and tested a software that can be used by multiple editors working across one or more projects. It will streamline the development process for both editors and writers, making it more affordable for users by creating the potential to replicate at scale without losing the necessary personal connection.
The end result exceeded their expectations in terms of functionality and appearance, while staying within budget. Overall, I Read Your Writing found the experience positive due to Climbing Turn's enthusiasm, clear communication, and ability to explain technical concepts in an understandable way.
We're so happy that they were very impressed with the look and feel that we created without having to curtail the functionality.
